The Village Sign
The village sign was designed by Mrs Mary Nicholson, a resident
of the parish. It depicts the church, the corn stools for
agriculture, the river boats, distant boat sails and ships anchor
representing the river as a mode of transport and for leisure. The
birds represent the abundance of wildlife in the area. It was erected in 1999.

Holy Trinity Church
Dating back to at least to the 1200's, Holy Trinity Church is
a small church constructed of bricks and tiles. It is thought to
have been rebuilt some time in the 1600 or 1700s although when
refurbishment was carried out in 1973 on the walls, they were
found to made from flint boulders on the inside. Given that the
walls are over 2ft thick, it may be that the bricks are just an
outer skin. Services are held most Sundays at 10.00. Check
the What's On? page for more
information.
